What's at camp

A whole valley to hang out in

No score to chase and no clock to beat. Camp Static is a shared place to spend an evening, with plenty to do when you feel like doing something.

Fish the lake, the pond and the dark

Cast at dawn, reel in through fog, and fill a field-guide journal with 54 fish. Weather and time of day change what's biting. Some of the rarest are only found underground.

The lodge

Two pool tables, darts, a bar with a bear who pours your drinks, a fireplace and a real movie theater with a free popcorn machine. Pull up a seat and stay awhile.

Stargaze from the ridge

Buy a telescope, set it up under a clear sky and trace 60 constellations by hand. Everyone at camp can see it and take a look through.

Row a boat. Fly a helicopter.

Race rowboats across the lake, or buy an RC helicopter and thread it through Rusty's ring course. Yes, you can bump into your friends, and yes, it's funnier that way.

A story in the static

Something is buried in the noise on the lodge radio. Follow it up the ridge, behind a waterfall and down into an old lantern mine. It's cozy, family friendly and nobody gets hurt.

Dress up, get silly

Pick your camper, choose hats and outfits, and try a Grow, Shrink or Glow drink from the bar. Small campers fit through cracks that big ones can't.

The mystery

There is something in the static

The old lodge radio never quite tunes in. Most nights it gives you nothing but hiss. Then, for a few seconds after dark, a tune comes through it. Four notes. Short, short, short, long.

Nobody at camp knows who is playing it, or where from. The old campers just shrug. If you want to know, you'll have to listen for yourself, and then go looking.

Play together

Your camp, your rules

Open a camp for friends or for anyone. Nobody has to set up a server, and nobody has to type an IP address.

  • Up to 32 campers per camp, with hosts choosing 2 to 32 players.
  • Steam lobbies, invites and short join codes, plus local network discovery.
  • Proximity voice chat. You hear the campers standing near you, like a real campfire.
  • Camp moderation: mute anyone yourself, vote to kick, and the host can ban.
  • Steam Deck and controller support with on-screen prompts and a quick-chat wheel.
